Welcome to Savignano Mare, a small, golden jewel of sand on the Adriatic Sea, between Rimini and Cesenatico, in the heart of Italy’s most famous Riviera. Its gently sloping beaches and transparent sea provide the ideal surroundings for families with children of all ages, guaranteeing a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
The Camping Villaggio Rubicone is the ideal departure point for trips and excursions, by car, bicycle or on foot. The surrounding towns and villages are steeped in history, art and extraordinary places to visit. One of the nearest walking routes includes the spectacular, wooden bridge that connects the two banks of the Rubicone river. The walking route departs from the nearby, seaside village of San Mauro Mare and leads to the nearby village of Gatteo Mare, along an avenue lined with oleander bushes and rich, green Mediterranean undergrowth. Once on the wooden bridge the feeling is one of being suspended in mid air whilst the boats and pleasure craft set off from the dock below. What’s the most photographed part of the bridge? The bronze bust of Julius Cesar with the legendary quotation “alea iacta est” ( the die is cast).
The seaside resort towns of Cesenatico(5km), Rimini (5km) and Riccione (25km) lie just a few kilometres from the charming beaches at Savignano Mare. The beautiful towns of Ravenna (28km), San Marino (30km), are also within driving distance of Savignano Mare and the holiday village organises frequent trips for guests to the world famous cities of Venice and Florence. The inland areas of Romagna are ideal for bicycle and mountain bike enthusiasts. There are numerous cycling lanes and routes that lead through the suggestive countryside of the Valmarecchia and Montefeltro leading to medieval hamlets, imposing fortresses, castles and hilltop towns such as Sant’Arcangelo di Romagna, Verucchio, Torriana, Gradara and San Leo.
Some of the largest and most popular fun parks in Italy are situated just a short distance from the Camping Village Rubicone; Mirabilandia in Ravenna, Fiabilandia and Italia in Miniatura in Rimini, Aquafan and Oltremare in Riccione and the Aquarium in Cattolica. Shopping enthusiasts will be glad to know that the “Iper Rubicone Romagna Center” , the largest shopping centre on the Romagnole Riviera, is just 800m from the Village. The complex is home to over 100 shops, 1 bowling alley, 1 games arcade and 12 cinema screens.
The Camping Village Rubicone is the ideal holiday destination for families with children. The campsite itself is situated on the seafront and is surrounded by unspoilt nature. It is within walking distance of the seaside villages of San Mauro Mare (200 meters) and Gatteo Mare (500 meters) and near to all the the above mentioned tourist attractions.
